The Hammonton Stingrays are a summer swim team based out of the Hammonton Swim Club that competes within the Suburban Swim Association of South Jersey league.
The Stingrays season begins the evening after Memorial Day and runs through the end of July. Practice sessions are held in the evening until the end of the school year and then shift to mornings following the school year. All home swim meets are held at the Hammonton Swim Club in a 25-meter, 5-lane regulated outdoor salt water pool.
The swim team is open to all children up to the age of 18 and no prior swim team experience is necessary. Following are a few benefits of being on the swim team:
- Swim with friends, make new friends, and have fun!
- Swimming improves both mental and physical fitness!
- Learn from experienced coaches - there is a Coaches Squad for beginner, younger swimmers and a focus on learning and/or refining advanced techniques for more experienced swimmers - but all team members can learn and develop!
All Hammonton Stingray team members are encouraged to reach for their personal best, display good sportsmanship, and have a great time!
To be eligible to be on the swim team a child must be listed as an additional member on a valid Hammonton Swim Club membership plan or must be affiliated with a Youth Sport Membership (a fixed fee of $325/family whereby access to the swim club is limited to swim team events and/or related functions only).
